Best Sepac stamp 2019

We have a winner in the best Sepac stamp 2019 contest !

Åland wins for the second time this contest.


According to the contest page on the offical Sepac website :

Åland wins with 382 votes
Monaco is second with 340 votes
Faroe Is. is third with 290 votes




The Isle of Man won in 2017, Guernsey won once in 2016, Åland won once in 2014, Greenland won once in 2013, Monaco won once in 2018 and the Faroe Islands won the first two contests, in 2007-09 and in 2011 and in 2015.

Best Europa stamp 2019 - Public prize

Armenia

Armeia is the winner of the 2019 Best Europa stamp contest organised by PostEurop. Turkey finished second and Finland is third.

It's the second time Armenia wins the best Europa stamp contest. The first win was in 2007, it was also the first year the contest became an online voting open to everybody !

The Best Europa stamp design competition is a yearly event. The first competition took place in 2002. All official Europa stamp issues can enter the competition.

The result of this competition was announced during this PostEurop's Plenary Assembly held last week in Jersey.

The stamp has been selected via the internet ! All people could vote through PostEurop's website !

A jury of 6 members (stamp designers, philatelic design directors, stamp collectors) awarded earlier this year, the Best Europa stamp - Jury prize to Slovenia !

Best Europa stamp 2019 - Jury prize

Slovenia

The 2019 Best Europa stamp - Jury prize was awarded last Saturday in Brussels’ town hall.

This was the 8th edition of this neutral and artistic prize.

Six experts of the philatelic world were invited to join the jury and judge the Europa stamps based on their expert opinion.

This year's winner is Slovenia with a stamp part of a 2 stamps set - it's the first time that Slovenia wins the Jury prize !

3rd - Finland (stamp under)

After, the four first issues of this kind :  2013 (theme - "The postman van") ; 2016 (theme - "Ecology in Europe - Think Green" ; 2017 (theme - Castles) and 2018 (theme - Bridges)

6 countries - Austria - Germany - Liechtenstein - Luxembourg - the Netherlands and Switzerland - issued a common "Multilaterale" folder containing this year's Europa stamps from the six countries (10 stamps).



This folder can be ordered by any of the 6 postal administrations.
